About Warung Ume Anyar

Introducing Warung Ume Anyar feels a bit like letting you in on a local secret tucked along Jl. Raya Sidemen Ogang in the lush, quiet hills of Karangasem, Bali, where the scenery slows you down before the food even arrives. This is the kind of restaurant you stumble upon while exploring Sidemen and immediately want to remember, because it blends a relaxed village atmosphere with the comfort of a place that clearly understands good food and easy hospitality. Warung Ume Anyar keeps things simple but thoughtful, offering a welcoming restaurant vibe that works whether you’re stopping by for a quick bite or settling in for a longer, laid-back meal. Outdoor seating is a big draw here, especially if you like eating with fresh air, rice field views, and that unmistakable Bali calm in the background, while on-site services, takeaway, and dine-in options make it flexible for different travel moods. The menu is just as accommodating, mixing familiar favorites with choices that suit a wide range of preferences, including halal food, vegan options, and vegetarian options, so groups with different tastes never feel limited. At the same time, the offerings extend beyond food, with coffee for slow mornings, quick bites for mid-day hunger, and a solid lineup of beer, cocktails, spirits, and other alcohol for when the evening rolls in. What really stands out is how unforced everything feels, from the casual service to the way the restaurant fits naturally into its surroundings, making it easy to relax without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. Warung Ume Anyar comes across as a place created for people who appreciate good flavors, open-air dining, and a comfortable setting where conversations flow just as easily as the drinks, all while staying grounded in the peaceful rhythm of Sidemen life.

Love the foooood! Sweet and sour chicken, and the chicken omelette dish were so fresh and yummy. The prices are half way to local and halfway to tourist prices so the dishes were under $5aud. The rooftop seating is quality and under cover. The warung is on the corner so the view is great and there is parking. Great stop plus the shop is so awesome, local shop but so many products and clothes and cheap! Great people Great service we just loved it

The absolute best meal I’ve had so far in Bali!!! The tom gay Kai (coconut Thai soup) was absolutely unreal and the views were stunning.

We happened to drive past and had something to eat. A very simple place with a nice view. Here the food is only made when you order it, so it takes a while. The spring rolls were delicious though, so it was worth it. There is a shop under the restaurant.

Reasonably priced, meals are 35-50k. The Tom Kah Gay Soup was excellent! The view from the terrace is fantastic. Will be back again!

Amazing view! Food was yummy but very spaced apart. I got my food every 20minuets. Other than that! Amazing!

Accidentally found this hidden gem on the way to Amed! Get ready for a stunning panoramic view! The place is simple, designed in a typical local warung style with a touch of Balinese charm. It was very clean, and the toilet downstairs was okay by local warung standards. It’s a small, family-run warung tucked behind a local shop with a super friendly owner and a peaceful spot with amazing views. The place is clean and simple, with a mix of Western, Thai, and Indonesian dishes. Pricing is very reasonable overall. The menu offers a mix of Western, Thai, and Indonesian dishes (including some starters & desserts). One of the highlights was their fresh-cut fries, it was so good that even my Belgian and French friends approved! Since everything is freshly made, it takes a bit longer to serve, but it’s worth the wait :) We also tried the burger, which was delicious, and a couple of Thai dishes: Tom Kha Kai and Green Curry. The Tom Kha Kai was quite good, though a bit watery, but still enjoyable. The Green Curry, unfortunately, didn’t meet our expectations. It was a bit “comme ci, comme ça”. The dragon fruit juice was incredibly fresh, with a perfect consistency and no added sugar. Definitely planning to stop by again on our next trip! This time to explore more from their menu

I can’t believe all of the times I’ve been here and haven’t left a review! My favorite Balinese curry, packed full of veg, tempe, tofu and flavor. It never disappoints and the juices are always fresh and delicious. It’s an unassuming Warung above a convenience shop, wonderful owner and friendly staff with epic views.

A very good spot to have a view over the countryside. The food is simple and tasty. Original Bali style. But also Thai food available due to a personnel relation of the owner's family to Thailand. Prices about half or less, compared to tourists hotspots. Beside the restaurant they also drive a small shop. You can refill your bags with what you need to continue your trip. Many thanks to the family for good and friendly service!
